A tasty recipe and an easy way of bulking out your meat for a bolognese meal.
1lb of beef or Lamb mince
5 0z porridge oats
pint of stock or stock cubes
tomato sauce base
onion
mushrooms
Seasoning
fry mince till browned and then add oats stirring in untill all blended. add onions and mushroom then tomato sauce base. lower heat to very gentle and add stock. Mix quickly and thoroughly before turning heat up to cook through. Add a little more stock or water if it seems dry. Split meat into two and use half for this and refrigerate other half
Add home made cooked pasta and enjoy !

(Put half mixture in another saucepan to make Chilli Con Carne
add Chilli powder, Kidney beans,and cumin seeds. Either freeze or eat next day with tortilla chips or crisps. Cream or Cottage cheese is nice with it )
